  • Hi,

    I guess you are trying to create an applcation page. Check out this detailed post on creating the same on Visual Studio 2008:

    Let me know if it was helpful.

  • Check this aticle

    http://www.risetime.com/blog/archive/2009/06/03/create-a-custom-newform-aspx-for-a-sharepoint-list.aspx

    Once you finished your customize page, make  sure to update parser path in web config as mentioned below

    <PageParserPath VirtualPath="/*" CompilationMode="Always" AllowServerSideScript="true" IncludeSubFolders="true" />

  • Thanks Ashish, Iam looking for exactly this, but with Visual Studio 2008 not with the SharePoint designer.

    Because using VS2008 we have a lot of scope to develop. My actual idea is to implement AJAX and Silverlight in custom pages. That's why i started with basic custom forms for custom lists using Visual Studio.

  • Suresh

    You can create application pages (as prasanjet suggested) and then linked with using sharepoint designer as suggested in article. I have implemented application pages so many times. Let me know if you need more help.
