Gentlemen:
My desktop hard drive failed so I copied my Word documnents back to
an new hard drive.
The documents copied from backup are read only and will not allow me to
save them or create a new document. Since this is my business computer, it is
a major problem. I have tried c:>attrib -r -s "c:\program files\microsoft office\word docs"
without success. This command has worked successfully in the past.
Any suggestions? Files remain "locked" and will not allow editing.
