    is it possible to restore a single task sequence in SCCM ?

    Yes, you can import the task sequence. But that requires that you exported it at some point.

    So it is not possible to restore individual components of SCCM from a backup ?

    The only possible way is to restore the site on a test environment and then with export and import get components back ?
