Missing AlwaysAutoRebootAtScheduledTime value in Server 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi - we were asked to make sure the AlwaysAutoRebootAtScheduledTime value that is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU  was set to 0 by one of our vendors on their servers.  Even though we have installed the April 2013 cumulative update (2822241) I do not have this value entered in to the registry.  I am running Server 2012 Standard 64bit.   I am not too concerned about it as we have the server taking updates from WSUS, but I was just curious as to why that entry is missing.  thanks to all for the assistance.

    thx

  • When it is missing/not present then a default value of 0 is assumed. You can add the dword manually then set the value explicitly if desired.
