windows freezes and wont start up anymore RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi! I install windows 10 insider preview just recently. But yesterday, my pc automatically shut down because of critical battery issue. After I charge and open it again, there's a message pop up on the screeen saying "critical errors. Save ur work" and then there's a sign out button so I click it carelessly and after this, my pc sign out. The thing is, after it signed out, my pc wont start up. It freezes to the same appearance on the screen like when ur pc was put to sleep and u need to sign in again. the cursor are still moving but it wont click. I also tried through keyboard like "ctrl+alt+del..windows+r...etc."but nothing happened. it still stay on that same appearance on the screen.

pls.someone help me out of this,i'm begging.thank u very much

  • Hi April Go,

I've just see the spec of Acer E5-471G-5558.
    (3) is related to hardware, not software incluing Windows 10. Did you check (3)?  and how they are?
I'd like to know about your screen. Would you explain again?

    Best regards,

  • It sounds as though it may have hibernated, and keeps going back to the point it hibernated.

Try holding the power button down to crash it, then power it back on.  I wouldn't normally recommend closing down in that way.

  • 1) What is your PC: manufacture and model?
    2) use AC power, instead of battery
    3) check the status of lamps/LED: Power, HDD Access, etc.

  • You can try starting Windows 10 in safe mode and see if that helps you logon to your PC. If've successfully logged in, do try uninstall programs or third party apps that you don't need anymore or use rarely.

If nothing works, try reinstalling Windows 10 again on the PC and see if the problem goes away.

P.S. Reinstalling might permanently erase all your hard drive data or any particular partition data. So perform it with precaution.

  • Hi,

Please unplug  your power completely including the AC and battery.

Wait for a while, then plug the AC, press power button to start Windows, can be boot into Windows Now?
