Sharepoint 2010 and firefox, chrome and safari RRS feed

• Question

• Upload multiple documents and open with explorer greyed out in firefox, chrome and
safari. How do you go about enabling these options for the many users who
prefer not to use Internet Explorer. Telling them they need to only use I.E. is
going to tick off bottom end and upper managment users who prefer to use a
different browser then I.E. Hope their is a solution.

• Please review Plan for Browser support: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526.aspx. Multiple upload requires an ActiveX control, and the control is only availble for IE 7 and above, 32bit.

• Those features require support for ActiveX which is only supported in IE; long story short there are some features that just only work in IE. This browser support document lists what does and does not work in each browser: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526.aspx
