First you should check this article for backup&restore AD;
AD DS Backup and Recovery Step-by-Step Guide

and for restore deleted AD objects,you should perfrom Authoritative Restore ;

For full ad restore,you should perform Nonauthoritative Restore ;

Also AD Recycle Bin is a features including the restore process.(functional level needs to be at least 2008)
