Switching from POP to IMAP RRS feed

  • In 2016, Microsoft OUTLOOK migrated from POP to IMAP. The only notice I had was that many hundreds of EMails I had in my "INBOX" disappeared (and I'm not even running for President). Apparently, ms holds IMAP emails in the cloud in a user database, and the default size is limited. A ms tech guy explained this to me, and told me that I could buy additional space (plenty for me) for a modest monthly fee. We then "recovered" most of my lost emails.

    I then discovered the issue of "CATEGORIES" no longer supported in email, calendar, and contacts.  I created folders under my inbox to serve as categories. Contacts I categorize using the previously-unused "Department" field. I have not found a fix for calendar. This is a GIANT annoyance.
