Timecard Management Template not logging time RRS feed

    I have downloaded the Timecard Management Template for WSS 3.0 from the Microsoft site and setup a new site within my Sharepoint page.  When I click on Punch In and choose the project and task, it doesn't log a time/date to go in the Start Time column within the Time Log list.  It also doesn't log anything in the End Time column when Punch Out is clicked. 

    I was hoping it would log the current time and date from the Server.  Does it do this out of the box?  Is there anything I have to configure or add for the Start Time and End Time columns to be filled in automatically by clicking Punch In and Punch Out Button on the main page?  Thank you in advance.
