HDD Acceptance RRS feed

  • On installing a new WesternDigital 160Gb HDD, the system stated there were errors with the drive.  I re-loaded WIN7 and the same errors occured.
After using TUFFTEST to scrub the new HDD the WIN7 load fine but I still received messages to backup and repair the drive.
I used TUFFTEST again and then formatted the drive using FAT32 format before loading WIN7.  This time AOK.
Second day with WIN7 and it has great promise....Robert.
