Script for ConfigMgr DP connectivity RRS feed

  • Question

  • [Environment – CB1702]

I am trying to find a script, which can help the onsite team (server admins) who is taking care of DP's on the ground level.

As an SCCM admin, we do not have Remote access towards DP (Restricted) to trouble shoot the issue if any connectivity issue of respective DP, which is not communicating to the site server

In addition, since there is no SCOM in that environment to monitor DP connectivity.

the script checks the following upon execution on the reported DP.

    •        TCP and UDP Firewall rules status, which exists to communicate site server at ground level.

                         DP to Site server

                         Site server to DP

    •        Windows Firewall rules exception:

                          Inbound

                          Outbound

    •        Check whether can ping the gateway
    •        Check whether DNS is getting resolved or not

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Thanks
