  • Question

  • Hi to all

    • Skype for Business 2015 on premise
    • Exchange 2010 on premise - UM
    • Response groups are set to transfer unanswered calls to UM

When call are made from SFB client everything is fine, but when call are made from outside it ended before reach UM.

also if we change forward from UM to sip address everything is ok.

Nothing in windows log files, nothing in SFB monitoring logs.

    Any ideas where to look.

    Thanks

  • Do your Front End and Mediation servers both have full access to the Exchange UM role?  Do your PSTN gateways?  Wondering if there's a connectivity issue there.

When you say UM, do you mean an automated attendant or voicemail?

  • Hi,

Please check your Edge server(s) can route to your Exchange 2010 UM server(s). If the internal adaptor of your edge server is not on the LAN, make sure that there are static routes in place for the UM servers.

The problem is for external users no? and you are able to forward to SIP address which proves Edge to Front End routing. But at the point of forwarding to UM you are asking it to go edge to UM which fails - Edge to UM routing is almost definitely your problem.

    Kind regards
    Ben

  • Do you have monitoring installed, if so can you trace the call there and see where it drops? Does it work if call from mobile?

  • Hi Dojcinovic ,

By saying “calls made from outside”, do you mean PSTN calls or calls made from external SFB clients?

Based on my research, if Response Group Voice Mail is not working for PSTN Caller, you can try to change the value of VoIPSecurity  from “secured ”to “SIPsecured” in UM dial plan.
