Can't go back to a Google search RRS feed

  • Question

  • Every time I click on a link to a Google search, once I've visited the page, I can't then return to my Google search.  Does anyone know why, and how I can fix it?  Thank you.

Yes.  You have several options.  The easiest one IMO is using Google's Open result links in a new window which by Tab Settings can be converted to Open result links in a new tab.  Then to "go back" all you need to do is close that tab (e.g. press Ctrl-w) or switch tabs (e.g. press Ctrl-Shift-Tab).  Alternatively, you can right-click the Back button and skip the item which would redirect you back to the page that you are trying to leave.  Similarly, you could use the View, Go... menu command to achieve the same result using just your keyboard (Alt-V G, CursorUp, CursorUp, Enter for example).  Or if you know where you "came from" and you have the History by Order Visited Today showing you could just click on that item.
