Unable to upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium to higher version

    Question

  • Dear Sir/Madam

I would like to upgrade my laptop from Win 7 Home Premium to higher version.   But it was either saying, the country I was in cannot purchase Windows 8, 8.1 or 10; or it give a message saying I need to run it from Window Anywhere Upgrade.  This also failed saying "there is no upgarded.

    Please can you advise?

  • The Windows anytime upgrade was for upgrading Windows 7 to a higher version (e.g. home to professional or ultimate).  Microsoft ended sales of Windows Anytime Upgrade in October of 2013.   There is a free upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 available until July 29, 2016 for qualified users.  See the link below for information. You don't what country you're in so I don't know what the issue with that is.
