System Center 2012 DPM Failed To create recovery point RRS feed

  • im getting error ID 214 DPM does not have sufficient storage space available on the recovery point volume to create new recovery points.
    i know that the volume asociated with the recovery point is no longer have free space in it,
    the question is how can i get dpm to continue creating recovery points
    NB:Auto growth Volume space is checked in disque allocation window.

    Select the data source under the protection group it belongs to. Right-click the data source and select modify disk allocation. Add additional space to the recovery point volume.  If you have an active alert, the link to modify the disk allocation is there also.

  • Yes, as Mike suggested modify allocation. if no space is available in storage pool, you can shrink other recovery points volumes having much free space and then retry to allocate space to this recovery point volume.
