Two factor authentication using Phone factor and Active Directory for Outlook Web Access (OWA) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have setup two factor authentication using PhoneFactor (Radius) and Active Directory for our Outlook Web Access (OWA). Hpwever, when users login they have two fields to input the passwords, one for the PhoneFactor server and the another one for the Active Directory Password . Both passwords fields have the same value (Active directory password for the user). Is there any way to suppress the password field for the PhoneFactor server since the authentication is done by a phone call?

If I remove the Active Directory authentication away from the portal. The portal access works but authentication to OWA fails. Any ideas?

  • Instead of setting up PhoneFactor as a second factor of authentication in addition to AD authentication, setup the RADIUS authentication to PhoneFactor as the primary and only authentication. PhoneFactor will validate the user credentials against AD and perform the second-factor authentication before returning a result. Since your system thinks that only one factor of authentication is being performed, it should only display a single password textbox.
