Now that CCleaner was compromised, can we get a basic IE and Windows Cache Cleaner from Sysinternal? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Would really love to see an alternative for CCleaner for those of us who work in a HIPAA compliance arena and can't use non-Microsoft, <g class="gr_ gr_176 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="176" id="176">third party</g> development tools. It would be even better to be able to use such a tool for remote access PC's (maybe <g class="gr_ gr_338 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="338" id="338">powershell</g> controlled), but even a small footprint portable type app would be just as sweet! We constantly have to clean different user's windows and IE cache files to keep us from having to completely rebuild user's profiles. Sure, each user gets by for 6 months to 2 years before clogging up - but we've got 1200+ users; so it would be VERY handy to have something like this for daily use to save us from manually having to do so. Maybe a good project to tackle for a college student? I know everyone just defaults to using CCleaner but it's not really an option in every enterprise <g class="gr_ gr_1826 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="1826" id="1826">envirionment</g>.
