  • Question

  • Is there a way to allow specific users to have the ability to send to inbox for quaratined e-mails without adding them to the administrator group? Or givin them administrator rights to the site?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

the user doesn't need to be an Administrator or quarantine-administrator to access its quarantine mailbox in FOPE. He only needs a password to access the quarantine and to deliver email to the inbox.

The quarantine-administrator has rights over all quarantine mailbox that's to much.

  • Thanks Christian - The users have access to see the e-mails which are stopped in the quaratine folder but there is no option for them to send to inbox. Is there something I missed to allow them to do that or are administrators only allowed to send to inbox?

  • Hi,

    check the following article:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff715135.aspx

Is the button "move to inbox" missing?

If so check if you have configured the setting "message release" is set to everyone.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff715240.aspx

This enables the user to release messages out of the policy rule filtering.

    Greetings

  • Hi,

    that's what I thought.

Check if you have configured the setting "message release" is set to everyone and the option "allow user access" is enabled. There you can configure if nobody, only admins or all users can release emails from policy quarantine.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff715240.aspx (Enable Spam Quarantine for all users)

This enables the user to release messages out of the policy rule filtering.

Don't forget to wait about an hour until the setting has been replicated over all datacenters.

    Greetings

    Christian
