Help, Bluetooth Audio Device not working because of STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND in SFC Scan RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello and thanks for stopping by,

I've already posted this question in Microsoft Answers but the Forum Moderator told me to post it here instead, apparently things aren't looking too good for me.

    Here's the link https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/help-bluetooth-audio-device-not-working-because-of/a603f2ef-f3ef-4894-bb7d-c59f2be4a69b?msgId=08c3c7a0-6f0b-45ae-bb74-fd29deff47fa

Few days ago my bluetooth headphones stopped working properly, so I uninstalled the drivers hoping that it will reinstall them after a reboot, but it didn't! The device was still paired but not working as a headphone but only as a headset.

A friend of mine tried to fix it by removing few files from the Windows directory (some .inf files from the INF folder and some others from WinSxS, etc..) and he only made things worse!

The connected device now shows "Driver Error" instead of "Paired" on the Bluetooth interface in Settings.

I did a SFC Scan but it failed to get the files back, here's the important(I think) part of the logs:

    So I've been told to execute a this DISM.exe command: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

After almost an hour I got an error:

The source files could not be found.
Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=243077.
