  • Question

  • Team,

    When windows 10 anniversary patches push through wsus server 2012 r2, we are facing the below mentioned issue

    Feature update to Windows 10 Pro, version 1607, en-us - Error 0xc1800118

    Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607 - Error 0x8024200d

    Tried Workarounds

    • Install update 3159706 to enable decryption
    • Disable the “Upgrades” classification
    • Delete the previously synched upgrades
    • Enable the “Upgrades” classification
    • Perform a full sync stand-alone WSUS

    Note: Please let me know the KB number to install manually if available

  • Hi Manoj_SA_CNSI,

    1. Do you also install KB3095113, please install KB3095113 and KB3159706 before sync the upgrade file, if you haven't install it, please install it again and do the steps in your original post again;

    2. Please check if you add .esd MIME type in WSUS IIS site;

    3. Run server cleanup Wizard on the WSUS server;

    4. Clear SoftwareDistribution in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribtion on client.

    After then, install the upgrade file again, check if it could work.

    Best Regards,

    Anne

  • Hi Manoj_SA_CNSI,

    >can you please provide remote support???

    Sorry, to achieve it, you need to open a case with MS. If you want, here is the link:

    Besides, I'm unable to access the link provided by you.

  • Hi manoj_CNSI,

    Have you got any progress with the issue? If still not, please try if re-install WSUS could help.

    To re-install WSUS server:

    1. Remove WSUS role in server manager;

    2. Delete SUSDB in C:\Windows\WID\Data, delete "SUSDB.mdf" and "SUSDB_log.ldf". After then, you may install SQL server 2012 management studio to check if the SUSDB is deleted or detached.

    3. Check if WSUS IIS site is remove when you remove the role, if not, delete it manually.

    4. Delete Content folder.

    Then, restart the WSUS server and re-install it.

    After re-installation, install KB3095113 and KB3159706(with manual steps).

    Then, sync and download the 1607 upgrade.

    Best Regards,

    Anne
