Problem with complete pc backup- error 0x8007007A

Question

Hello,
I've been trying to do a complete PC backup using the utility in Vista Ultimate. The backup utility will not recognize any external hard drives I connect. I've tried two- one of which has been fully encrypted and mounted in TrueCrypt (reading and writing from both drives works fine). I'd like to back up to the encrypted one, but I keep getting a "data area passed to a system call is too small" and after clicking OK it tells me that no hard disks or drives could be found. When I try going to just back up files, I can see USB thumb drives and another partition on my primary hard disk. However, none of the externals show up.
Is there anyway to fix this issue, or should I look to some other type of backup software?
Thanks,
Cameron

Hi Cameron
I know there are issues when using the backup programs included in Vista to backup to encrypted drives. You might want to check with TrueCrypt support to see if there are any known issues.
