Load *.dot file from remote location at word 2010 startup RRS feed

    Dear All,

    I would like to know if it would be possible to create a registry key on a windows 7 pc that would point to a *.dot file located on a remote server so that at Word startup it will load this *.dot file to C:\program files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\STARTUP.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to load the *.dot file located on a remote server in your windows 7 client when you started the Word 2010.

    If it was, please try the workaround. Create a logon script, and it'll help us copy the *.dot file from the remote server to the STARTUP folder (C:\program files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\STARTUP) automatically before starting the Word.
