Guys, running many RDS servers that use App-V 4.6 client (i know I know! :)). At this stage our App-V 4.6 environment can be described as follows:
- App-V is very static and we have not published any new applications in over 1 year
- We will not be publishing any further applications in App-V 4.6
- All RDS servers have all applications that are used pre-cached locally
(no shared cache)
We have a Management server which originally was used for accounting and permissions. We never used the licensing limitations options. The Management Server requires a SQL 2008 DB which we have in a mirror and would like to get rid of this as SQL 2008 is
EOL and no getting patched.
As such I note there is an option to Work Offline on the App-V client side. Would this be an option for us? To me it seems it would provided we also disable the authentication check via the registry item RequireAuthorizationIfCached
