    Hi All..

    I am facing problems with my Ms word files, all have been converted or corrupted and showin an unknown / unreadable format.. Can anyone please tell me how to make it readable? Following are the samples.

    Hi,

    thank you for the links, i have tried all but not succeeded.

    Is there any other third party tool? I have Millions of corrupted files and really want them to recover.

    This happened to me, too.  

    MS Office PRO 2010, MS WIN 7.

    I had an Excel file saved to desktop.  MS said that the file could not be found, but could convert my file into WORD.

    I followed the prompts and said yes....then I got all kinds of code (as you have listed), and AND it converted all kinds of files not associated with the file I asked for.

    Things like picassa, google, Adobe, and other third party apps. 

    It seemed that the MS conversion file wound itself in all of the .exe's. 

    I went to the extension manager to see if MS Word tried to make herself the preferred program and she did not.

    I tired to do a system restore and IT WILL NOT COMPLETE the POST.

    I have since copied all the files into another user profile and they seem to be functioning fine, ( I deleted the troubled user account) however I still can not run a system restore or return the system to an original date as the post will not complete.  

    Any help will be appreciated.
