Shared Master list in source Manger in Word RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way in word for citations to create a source manager master list that can be saved to a common drive so it can be shared by multiple people ?

    Example

    1. Someone creates a list of references and saves that to a common share drive

    2. A User selects the 'Browse' button in source manager to get the list and have that as their master list

    3. A different user also selects the 'Browse' button and gets the same list to use as the master list

Result both users are sharing the same master list of sources

  • Hi,

You can create a source manager master list in Word, then click Manage Sources > Browse. Generally, the personal Bibliograghy is saved in the following path by default: %appdata%\Microsoft\Bibliography

Copy the Sources.xml file to a shared drive. Then share this path to other users. Then other users can open this master list from this shared drive by clicking Manage Sources > Browse. And open the Sources.xml in shared drive.
