Can a Java Swing Application be submitted to the Windows 10 store? RRS feed

    We have educational financial software that is, at heart, a Java Swing application.  We wrap it using JWrapper to deliver an exe, but we'd far prefer to allow our users to download the application via the windows 10 app store, is that possible?

    Hi,

    You cannot simply convert a desktop app to Windows store app, it needs to be re-build and it is a problem of Application of development.

    If you decide to develop a Windows metro App, please check Windows SideLoading phrase. The official article about SideLoading fow Windows 10 has not released yet, but you could have a look at Windows 8.1.

    Windows Sideloading do have License requirement about that, Regarding to Windows app Sideloading problem, We’d suggest you post at MSDN Windows app forum. There you can get more effective suggestion by other experts who familiar with design of Windows APP sideloading. Your understanding is highly appreciated.
