Windows 7 driver for Samsung SSD RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to find driver for Samsung SSD SM841 and PM830. My Windows 7 installation doesn't find the disk. I have 2 Dell PCs, 1 with SM841 and 1 with PM830. I have a 3'e PC with Windows 8 and there I can see that Microsoft is the manufactory of the driver. But I can't find the driver anywhere. Both Dell and Samsung are telling me to search the driver on Microsofts sites.

  • What drivers do you mean? Majority of SSDs that I used did not require any driver when installing operating system.

Could you describe your problem? I mean the aim not the path to it.

    How is set your BIOS?

  • I found the problem. It was a setting in BIOS that had to change from UEFI to Legacy. Now it works perfect and windows finds the SSD drives.

    Thanks for the help.
