Problem saving to MS Project Server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting the same issue as a previous post in Feb 2012 - I do not get the Save to Server box when tryin to save a Project to project Server.

If I open a project when connected to Server 2010 that is already in 2010 I am able to save the changes back to the server and publish.

But when I have another project and want to save it to MS Project Server 2010 I do not get the Save to server box - even when following the Wizard.

  • It sounds like a permission.  There is a permission that allows you to create a project schedule.  Sounds like it is diisbled for you.  And there is another permissoin that allows you to save a project schedule.   If schedule has already been created, it allows you to save it back to the server.

This is by design, so that the PMO governance can control the creation of project schedules.

    Cheers!
