in AutoCorrect...adding an image? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all...

I've set up my Outlook 2010, to show a smiley face when I type (for instance) this -- :-)

But I'm wondering, how can I add an image, a jpg for example to a set of chars...i.e. if I type say uuuu - I'd like it to show a certain full color smiley face that I have and I can't find a way to "add" the path to same in the Replace field in AutoCorrect...

Can this be done? and if so, how?

  • Hi

If you want to use AutoCorrect to put the picture in automatically as you type, then:

    • Create a new message and insert the picture as you want it.
    • Then select the image and paragraph in which you inserted it.
    • Now click File > Options > Editor Options button.
    • Then click Proofing > AutoCorrect Options.
    • In the Replace box type the text you want to type to insert the current selection (your picture).
    • Click OK until back in the message.

Now type your text, defined above, and press the Spacebar.  The picture should now appear replaceing the text.

    Good luck

  • Hi,

    You may use Quick Part.

In a new message, insert a picuture. Click Quick Part under the Insert tab, and add it to Quick Part.
