    As long as the checkbox in the screenshot above is enabled for the target MA of password sync(meaning that password changed in the source AD where PCNS is installed are synced to this AD), then this should work. There is no 'extension DLL' needed for this scenario, necessarily.

    Both of the above guides cover the two common scenarios, these docs might reference either MIIS 2003 or ILM 2007 but will still apply to FIM 2010, as well.

  • Yes, you should not be doing bi-directional password sync with one instance of FIM 2010. The above steps will work, it is easier to get this working when FIM resides in the same domain where PCNS is installed.
