Virtual Switch issue. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello there folks...

I am having an issue with a virtual switch here... it is a bit more complicated as it involves a physical failover NIC team which has 2 virtual VLAN's, vlan20 and vlan30.  Vlan20 is not really in use right now.  All the traffic is (or should be) tagged for Vlan30.  this is a bit of background, but what I am having a problem with is the virtual machine.

On the host machine, of course, the VLAN connection is a virtual NIC created by HyperV to point to the failover team

here is the routing table for the virtual machine that is supposed to be talking over Vlan30 for all addresses going to 10.2.1.x

However... all traffic is going over 172.25.24.91 and my route entry is being completely ignored.

I am pulling my hair out on this one...

I ensured that all of the virtual NIC's are connected to the HyperV Vritual Network Switch Protocol.
