    Our Exchange 2010 server message queue keeps reporting the following error

     The remote pipeline has been stopped. It was running the command 'get-message -ResultSize '1000' - ReturnPageInfo $True -SortOrder '+FromAddress' -server 'myserver.mydomain.loc' -SearchForward $True - BookmarkObject $null .............

  • Hi,

    Check the event viewer and see if there are any alerts related to this issue like space problem, time sync problem etc. Correct those and see it again

  • The only other erro I see is this one

    Cmdlet failed. Cmdlet Get-Message, parameters {ResultSize=1000, ReturnPageInfo=True, Server=xxxxxxxxx, SortOrder={+FromAddress}, SearchForward=True, BookmarkObject=Microsoft.Exchange.Data.QueueViewer.PropertyBagBasedMessageInfo, BookmarkIndex=-1, IncludeBookmark=True}.

  • Thanks for the assistance: 

    Application shows the following

    warning: Table was marked as in use while releasing a database session on database "Mailbox Database xxxx".  Problem will automatically be fixed.
     Table type was tbtBody, table name was Body-27ac-11966, and transaction level was 0. 

    Error: Process w3wp.exe () (PID=6228). User 'Sid~xx\xxx~EWS~true' has gone over budget '1824' times for component 'EWS' within a one minute period. Info: 'Policy:DefaultThrottlingPolicy_bfa6b814-9405-487d-b130-0409700a5cd7, Parts:CAS:1742;MaxConcurrency:80;'. Threshold value: '100'.

    Error: Mapi session "8fabdbc9-f9d5-4ab5-af7d-c1f59c5c9ce9: /o=First Organization/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=xxx xxx1a2" exceeded the maximum of 500 objects of type "objtFolder".

    Error: The following fatal alert was generated: 10. The internal error state is 10.

    Error: An TLS 1.0 connection request was received from a remote client application, but none of the cipher suites supported by the client application are supported by the server. The SSL connection request has failed.

  • The errors are not giving more details of the issue. You can execute the PowerShell command as below

    Get-Queue ServerName\xxxxxx | fl messagecount, nexthopdomain, lasterror

    All the variables can be get from the error popup. The result give you an idea on which domain the message is not able to reach. See if you can reach the listed domain from the exchange server. There can be various reasons like DNS not properly configured, ISP block etc. and need to troubleshoot in that area

  • I forgot to mention that the main issue we are having that Email delivery comes to halt every few hours and the queue is full of messages. I restart the transport service and the flow restarts again.

  • That means there are dns issues in the server. The server is not able to connect to the domains to which it try to send

  • We have not changed our DNS lately. I am not sure what could be wrong.
