O365 Enterprise Profile Rebuilds

    Question

  • Hello all!

    I work in an Enterprise environment that over the past 2 weeks has had several users needing their Outlook profiles rebuilt, as Outlook hangs on the "Processing" screen. Opening in Safe Mode works, but opening in normal mode does not, neither does quick repairing O365. Just wanted to see if any other enterprise admins are having this trouble and possible fixes? Bad update?

  • Hi,

    I notice that there is no issue in safe mode. To do further analysis, please start Outlook in safe mode, go to File > Options > Add-ins, select Manage COM Add-ins, click GO. Uncheck to disable all third-party add-ins. Save the setting. Restart in normal mode and confirm if the issue can be fixed.

    If there is no issue when disabled all add-ins, you can enable one add-ins, restart Outlook to confirm if the issue can be reproduced. Repeat enable/disable different add-ins one by one to help narrow down the issue to a specific add-in.
