MIM 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

i'm trying to deploy MIM 2016 in infrastructure.

almost done with deployment part, like mim sync engine, SQL, share point, at last i got error while installing service and portal setup files.

even troubleshooted that issue but after installing service and portal the site is not accessible, which is created in sharepoint

what is the possible way to resolve issue?

NOTE: not the default site, the site which we create for mim portal access, that site is not accessible.

  • Hi,

Assuming that you at the end installed MIM Service and that you have started "FimService" service, and that you don't get any response, the problem should be either in network connectivity, binding or missing SharePoint mapping.

To ensure that MIM service is running navigate to:

http://<mimservername>:5725 and to http://<mimservername>:5726 - you should get connection to services.

To review bindings open PowerShell on the MIM Server and execute:

    Import-Module Webadministration
    Get-ChildItem -Path IIS:\Sites

    Please, send me the result.

To list all alternate mappings for SharePoint site execute following:

    C:\PS>$site = Get-SPSite 'http://www.contoso.com'
    PS C:\>
    Get-SPSiteURL -Identity $site

(replace url with your MIM Portal url).

    Please send this result too.

    Check server firewall configuration.

    Regards

  • To be able to answer your question I will need more information.

What error you faced during the installation? Did you enable logging during the installation?

Did you check Web Site binding?

Please provide us with more info.
