  • Hi,

Windows 8 is supported since SP1 for FIM 2010 R2 as you can see in the Relase Notes.

    Whats New in FIM 2010 R2 SP1

  • As i said above, without SP1 there is no support for Windows 8, as far as i know, and as the Relase Notes states.
So i think the only way to get this working is to upgrade to FIM 2010 R2 SP1.

  • Ok...got it.

So, since I have FIM 2010 R2. If I download SP1 from internet...can I combine the SP1 with FIM 2010 R2 and then install FIM extensions. Is there a way of doing it.

  • All i can find currently in the Microsoft Download Area is the R2 with SP1 integrated, so you can use this to update your environment and then deploy the client extensions.

Seems Microsoft has removed the the stand-alone SP1 download because newer hotfixes includes the SP1, the this thread also: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/2ad77509-23f2-4832-a5b5-ee8a2d9e9471/fim-2010-r2-service-pack-1-download

So Upgrade your environment with either the latest hotfix or the R2 Sp1 integrated, then install Client from the R2 Sp1 integrated download.
