OMS - Can I monitor the traffice/communication between two servers in Azure via OMS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Can OMS monitor the Network throughput /Disk / CPU / Memory / SQL .... between a SQL server and say an application server in Azure in the same subscription ?  We have been ask the following

    1.  Improve the start-up of Data Services Designer, the time it takes to authenticate to services on Server1 and read the repository also on Server2?

      2.  Import the performance of data being written to SQL01 from Server1

Can you please ask the team to investigate ways to increase the throughput

    Any points will be appreciated

  • Hi,

you can do that with Operations Management Suite for Disk/CPU/MEM and activate the Network Monitoring solutions to see stats on network throughput.

  • hi, yes you can. Look into the Service Endpoint Monitor component of the Network performance monitoring solution in Azure. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/log-analytics/log-analytics-network-performance-monitor
