Open services.msc from the run bar or Command Prompt and then find the Application Virtualization Client Service and ensure it has been started on the machine you are opening the document on.

Error: Application Virtualization Client Service is not running 4625852-OFA10612-00006003
Followed your instructions Went to App. Virt. Client and pressed start, Error 1075 dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion. It was set at automatic. I also went to App. Virt. Service and it was started and I set that one to automatic.
Now what?

not sure if these suggestions apply.....a little over my head. My Excel is working but I cannot access documents from my desk top or from my downloads. If I open Office and retrieve files from within an open window then I am OK. I did uninstall and older office that was still on my computer thinking it may be confusing the system....no luck.....that older office doesn't seem to have uninstalled.
