Which enterprise custom fields and tables must not be deleted? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm in the process of cleaning up a bunch of enterprise fields that were added over the course of several years and just aren't necessary (aren't being used).   Over time, I've lost track of which fields are out-of-the-box, which ones I've added after the fact for supporting the MS Report Packs, etc.

Can someone point me to any documentation that states which enterprise custom fields are "out-of-the-box" and may not be deleted?

    Thanks,

If you break out your Implementing and Administering Microsoft Project Server 2010 book, which I believe you have, you will find a list of the built-in fields and lookup tables in Project Server 2010.  Also, if you are deleting views and tables in the Enterprise Global file, the only default enterprise view is the Enterprise Gantt Chart view, and the only default table is the Enterprise Entry table.  Hope this helps.
