Only open attachments from trustworthy sources prompt popping up on emails from people in same domain. RRS feed

  • So everytime this person gets an email from either outside or inside our company that has a excel sheet or word document attached, he gets the prompt mentioned above. Problem is, he is getting it while opening attachments from within our network. We have tried nearly everything. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this and what could be done to try and fix this?

  • Hi,

    Are you talking about the pop-up window as shown below?

    If so, please follow the steps below to solve your problem.

    1. Close Outlook.
    2. Run Outlook as Administrator and open the attachments
    3. Removing the check from "Always ask before opening this type of file" box.
    4. Close Outlook and start it normally.
