windows 10 pro shown as windows vista in WSUS 3.0 SP2 RRS feed

    All the windows 10 pro upgraded from windows 7 pro. all are on windows 2008R2 sp2 enterprise. WSUS3.0 sp2 is showing all these clients as vista. windows 7 shows up as windows 7. Is this because WSUS was released before windows 10 release.

    Win10 clients show as Vista on WS2008R2, yes. There is no fix for this for WS2008R2. The solution is to upgrade your WSUS OS to WS2012R2 or WS2016.

    Don [doesn't work for MSFT, and they're probably glad about that ;]

    Hi tamtam,

    As DonPick has suggested, you need to upgrade the WSUS server 2012(R2) or server 2016.

    If you upgrade to server 2012(r2), you also need to install KB3095113 along with KB3159706(with manual steps).
