Lync 2010 Auto attendant and hiding executives RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to hide certain extensions (mainly executives) from the auto attendant search by name function.

I still want them to show up on Lync clients within the company, but not dial by name with the Autoattendant. Is this possible?

  • I Guess you mean the Exchange Auto Attendant?

Then you can create a new dial plan and put the executive in another dial plan and limit the original search to that dial plan only

  • Try to use the Lync Server 2010 ResKit tool ABSConfig to hide the users from Lync Address Book.

  • So it looks like a feature limitation then? I would want the executives to show up in the address book, but not be accessible through the auto attendant dial by name.
