import subsite error sharepoint2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I am importing a subsite to the other subsite in same site collection, I am getting the following error "Cannot find an SPWeb object with Id or Url"
when i check import logs it says that there is some %20, i think it is due to URL issues i.e space name in the URL. Can some one suggest how i can sort out this issue?
    Thanks, Ram Ch

Answers

  • there is a quote missing between -path and C:\

    PS C:\Users\sp_setupbld> Import-SPWeb "https://appqa.portal.keane.com/sites/SEC/3 - SQA/Audits" -Path "C:\ram\backup\se\audits.cmp"

  • You have Import-SPWeb twice.

This is the command you should use:

    PS C:\Users\sp_setupbld> Import-SPWeb "https://appqa.portal.keane.com/sites/SEC/3 - SQA/Audits" -Path C:\ram\backup\se\audits.cmp"
