  • Hi,

    Would you please tell me why remote users failed to connect when we delete the content of this folder 

    :"C:\Documents and Settings\nzarai\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA"

  • What you are essentially doing is deleting the Lync Certificate private key that is used to authenticate to the Lync Server

    Private Keys are stored in RSA folder

    Check the users personal certificates and check the Communications Server Certificate issued to the users SIP Address and verify if the private key is present on the cert (most likely you deleted it when deleting the RSA folder)

    Conclusion : Don't delete the RSA folder or Disable Certificate based authentication on Lync
    (You will most likely also harm other applications that rely on certificates by deleting the folder)
