run scheduled task when no one is logged on?

    Question

  • It is possible to create a GPO that will run a Scheduled Task when no one is logged on?  I know there is the setting called "run wheather user is logged on our not"  but I want a ST to run only when no one is logged on.  Is that possible?

  • You can run it on startup or shutdown (before anyone can login or after they are logged out).  If you are saying that you want it when no one is logged on, but computer is up and running, that is a different story.

Shortly spoken: You cannot "out of the box". You would need to query all
logons and then decide how to continue.
