Error MSG "memory could not be read" on Win 7 RC shutdown RRS feed

  • Question

  • Have started receiving error MSG "memory could not be read" dialog box on Windows 7 RC shutdown.  Also "programs need to close" and "application error" meesages both on cSvcHst.exe.  I had recently installed Windows Mobile ver 6.1.6965 in order to sync Outlook 2003 with my Dell Axim PDA which seems to work.  If I respond by clicking OK, windows logs off and shuts down.  Is Windows Mobile supported in Windows 7 RC?

I'm testing Win 7 RC Ultimate 32bit on a Dell Inspiron 9200 laptop, 1.8 Ghz Intel Pentium M with 1024 MB memory.

    Hi,

cSvcHst.exe is a Symantec file. Did you install Symantec software? If so, could you please temporarily remove it to test the issue?

if the issue disappear, I suggest you contact Symantec Support to report the issue. if you didn’t install Symantec software on the computer, it is recommended to scan your computer by anti-virus software.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks.
