Nvidia Quadro P4000 DDA Error Code 43

  • Hi

    We use a Nvidia Quadro P4000 on a HPE DL380 Gen10 with Windows Server 2016 Hyper-V and Passtrough the Card with DDA to a Windows Server 2016 VM.

    W've installed the latest drivers. But after a while, without any user input, the card shows the error code 43.

    Thanks for your question.

    Normally in Device Manager, error “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ” can occur if the device hardware fails or if the device driver fails. We can try to reinstall the driver to see if it can fix the problem. We can refer to this article for details of the resolution.

    We could also use some other products to monitor and update the driver of this graphics device, just remind to checkpoint your VM in case of any disaster.

    One key point which may cause a problem is that, we need to remove adapter RemoteFX  from this VM, and also exclude the graphics device card you’ll configure for DDA from being used by RemoteFX. We can refer to the following figures,
