Itunes 12.8 download from microsoft site will not recognize my ipod RRS feed

  • Question

  • Prior to downloading the current version of iTunes (12.8) from the Microsoft store, iTunes DID recognize my ipod...now it does not.  I have researched this issue online, and keep coming up with a problem with Apple Mobile Device Support Driver -- it is not listed in my Services, nor in programs to uninstall...l I've followed all instructions on how/where to find it, and it is nowhere. I have also changed usb cords, and tried in different ports. When I run diagnostics within iTunes, iTunes says Apple Mobile Device is running, but no ipod found. Is there a fix for this missing Apple Mobile Device Support Driver? And let me be clear, it is missing...

  • Hi sherij.

There are several feedbacks related to iTunes (which is developed by Apple, not by Microsoft) on the Microsoft Store that state that the app fails to detect Apple devices: many users have recommended to use the classic iTunes Windows desktop application available at https://www.apple.com/lae/itunes/.
