Taskbar spanning in Windows 7??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running windows 7 RC1 Build 7100.  I am trying to figure out how i can span my taskbar accross my 2 monitors.  I have 2 Dell 19" monitors running off of a Nvidia GeForce 7300SE, with driver version 8.15.11.8172.  I can span the rest of my desktop just fine, but not the taskbar.  If anyone could offer some help i would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks so much!!

  • Hi Will

Sorry, but the extensibility just isn't there for this to be possible.

There are third party products that can add this feature.

    Hope this helps.

Thank You for testing Windows 7

  • I've mentioned this in another post, but I'd personally recommend DisplayFusion (http://www.binaryfortress.com/displayfusion/ ).  The developer is heavily testing on Windows 7 already.  It's very stable (on W7 as well as XP and Vista) already and works like a charm.  It's second task-bar even has thumbnail previews!

(It's also HALF the price of ultramon...)

Jon, the developer, is working feverishly as we speak and has a new beta out.
