keep getting this daily Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications RRS feed

  • Cannot figure out if this from Windows Microsoft or a ploy can anyone help?

    Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications

It wants me to re-register my computer because of piracy,,,,? If this is really Windows that needs this done Why? I have already done this. I am thinking this is a hacking ploy. Some send me really stupid emails that tell me my payments are declined by ACH, which is not true so I delete those...but with this it reminds me everyday. I do not trust this since I cannot verify it comes from Microsoft....maybe a cut and paste job.  Since you have access to my computer why would you do this. Seems like you would have sent email telling me why to do this not just spring it on me one day. If it really is you let me know and how I can go to the website to do this. Jenell

  • This is a peer-to-peer forum and has nothing to do with Windows Genuine Advantage notifications.

The Windows Genuine Advantage notification is generated direct in Windows based on communication with the Microsoft website.  Microsoft does not send emails for this and they probably don't have your email address anyway.

Read more about this @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892130

For more help on this you will have to contact Microsoft directly.  The website is @ http://support.microsoft.com/
