  • I have a new computer and have installed Outlook 2010, as I had it already.  How can I tranfer my documents, files to new computer with new Outlook account?

    Depends on what type(s) (POP3, Imap, Exchange etc) of email accounts are configured on the old computer. To determine what your account type(s) is/are on the old computer - go to File --> Account Settings --Email tab

    For Exchange/Exchange ActiveSync accounts - the answer is nothing needs to be done other than configuring the email account(s) on the new computer

    For IMAP accounts - what you need to do is be sure that a copy of the <default data file> is copied since it contains the default contact/calendar folders. Copying the PST file that contains your email data is of no use since that will get recreated when you configure the account on the new computer
